The plight of the fashion editor during the resort season is that we see all of these fantastic clothes that we want to wear now, but alas, we have to wait until they’re available in November. Stella McCartney’s country-fair presentation on New York’s Lower East Side earlier this week only added to this dilemma. Not only was her offering the most memorably charming of the week—it was a carnival-themed block party, after all, complete with funhouse mirrors, colorful balloons, and games—but it also left us wanting more sorbet colors, leopard prints, and tapestry florals.
